I was feeling a bit jaded and weary when I came across some notes hidden in a pile of papers. It reminded me of the awesome privilege we have of being close to the heart of God and that the Holy Spirit delights in working with us to say words that connect to the hearts of others. Jesus reminded me of a woman I was speaking to on Sunday morning who suddenly grasped the significance of Jesus’ resurrection for herself – a truly life-changing moment.
The teams often receive clues and words that connect people with God’s heart when we go Treasure Hunting. This happened earlier this year in Sudbury causing a new member of the team to exclaim…
“I’m so excited – I’m part of what God is doing… and it’s brilliant!”
Why not join our next Treasure Hunt in Colchester?
We feel that God is once again leading us to meet at the bandstand in Castle Park, putting us right where we need to be for our summer Treasure Hunt. We suggest parking in one of the town car parks that is convenient for you and seek us out at the Bandstand, which is just to the north of the castle and not far from the ‘Café in the Park’. Hopefully the links below will help you find it…
Date: Saturday, 18 May, 09:45 – 12:45
Venue: The Bandstand, Castle Park, High Street, Colchester, CO1 1TJ.
Parking: Town car parks (choose one that works for you)
Cost: Free – but you might want to treat yourself or your team to…
Ice-cream / tea / coffee / biscuits / fluffy bunnies, etc.
Do come along even if you have never been involved in anything like this before. It’s really exciting being part of God’s mission and it’s brilliant to bring encouragement to others, especially when it’s not expected. Why not invite some of your church friends to join us as well?
Looking forward to seeing you all on 18 May in Colchester.
