Working At Height Training

Course Objectives

To enable delegates to:

  • Promote safety wherever employed working at height
  • Reduce major injuries and accidents from working at height
  • Ensure compliance with all well-established safety procedures and all current relevant legislation

Who is it designed for

All person(s) involved in working at heights, including managers, supervisors and operatives.

Course Content

  • Introduction to Work at Height Regulations
  • Access and Egress, Loading places
  • Ladders
  • Landing places
  • Opening, corners, breaks, edges and joisting
  • Roof Work (flat roofs/sloping roofs/steep roofs etc)
  • Fragile roofing materials
  • Work over water
  • Safety nets, belts and harnesses
  • Equipment for working at height
  • Scaffolding, MEWPS, towers
  • SG4:05 requirements for scaffolders

Training Method

PowerPoint presentation, videos, case studies and class interaction.

Duration – half day

Number of Delegates – Minimum 8, Maximum 12
