Our family-run pub and bed and breakfast is also home to Mark, and Sally, our three children and very friendly dogs Jake and Puddles.
Drink with us [linked to Eat & Drink with us section] and enjoy local and regional cask conditioned ales, plus wines from our award-winning supplier. Snacks are plentiful too – all temptingly displayed in glass jars behind the bar. That’s where you’ll find Sally too – although not in a jar! She’s there for a friendly chat, to advise you on your drinks or point you in the direction of the daily papers ready for your perusal.

The kitchen is where you’ll find Mark – adding a personal touch to familiar favourites. His Sunday roasts are a sight to be seen…
And, being a dad himself, Mark also understand what kids want – so you’ll find small portions of all the favourites, plus ice cream cones for pud.
In a rush? We do takeaway fish and chips, complete with mushy peas
We’re open every day. On Friday and Saturday evenings and for Sunday lunch it’s wise to book, but if you turn up hungry and haven’t got a table reserved, we will always try to accommodate you.
Our mobile signal is a little iffy here and if you’d prefer to keep it that way, you can ignore the fact we offer free wifi in the bar and restaurant.
In need of entertainment? Test your skills on the pool table, darts or chess board. Get a group together for dominos or cards. And on Friday evenings we occasionally have live music. Check the Events section or ask at the bar to find out more.
